Why we do what we do
Springherd Farms, located in Snohomish Washington, is a fifth generation family farm. With a history rich in crop and dairy farming, our family made the decision to begin raising beef cattle in 2006. Quality nutrition is important to us, and we know it's important to you too. We understand the importance of knowing where your food comes from, the health and wellbeing of our family, animals and land is what we work so hard for. Sharing a part of that with you is rewarding and helps us keep local agriculture alive and well in our community. By purchasing beef from our farm, you're supporting a small business and helping us advocate for small family farms like ours.
Sustainability
Our cattle are born and raised on our farm using ethical and sustainable practices. We manage and maintain green pastures and use rotational grazing practices April through October. The herd comes up to the barn yard in the winter where we feed hay that we grew and harvested over the summer. They enjoy the shelter of a cozy barn and first class service while the pastures rest. We raise Angus, British White & Charolais cross cattle.
